My Christmas Presents

Boy, do I have a wonderfull husband. I asked him to build me a new table for Christmas, and he did! It's Cedar and seats up to 16 if you have 2 on each end. He also built me a peg shelf to hang the stockings on for Christmas and decorations the rest of the year. I LOVE them both!

Crochet Amigurumi Doll

Ok, I have to admit, I have looked at the amigurumi tab for quiet some time on Etsy and I was just too busy to investigate what in the world it was, LOL. Well, I finally took a few minutes to find out and I'm so glad I did. But, fair warning, It's totally ADDICTIVE! Ok, so amigurumi is knit or crochet figures. I thought it looked interested so I bought a pattern and off I went. Here is what I came up with after 13 hours of crocheting, a crochet doll for my little girl. A bonus, the pattern called for little undies and I used this to my advantage and bribed her with it to go on the potty better. Guess what? It totally worked!!! We are now down to just the baby in diapers, YAY!

Embroidered rag doll

I fell in love with some of the fancy ragdolls on Etsy while shopping for presents for Christmas. So, to test out my new digitizing software I created an anime doll face design for my embroidery machine. Then I made a ragdoll without a pattern, and here is how she turned out. Specs: muslin face, arms, legs- Cotton body- fleece hair- upcycled t-shirt boots.
